Government
India is a federal union that has 28 states and seven union territories. This is called the Republic of India. The republc of India is split into two different parts the first is the parliment branch and the second is the executive branch. The parliment branch are the people like the senate. The parliment branch is split into 2 parts the first part is the "House of the People" and the second is the "Council of State". The executive is spilt into two parts. The first is the president and the second is the prime minster. The president really has no power the prime minster does. The president has all the constitual powers but excercises them only on the advice of the prime minster.
